Marcus is a sales veteran with more than 35 years of experience who teaches sellers that they get further when they learn to collaborate, not manipulate, and serve others instead of serving themselves.   

He works with organisations to align the efforts of their marketing, sales, customer success, channel sales, and account growth teams so that they create a safe, risk-free environment for their clients and customers. An environment in which they enjoy a seamless, frictionless buying experience, throughout their lifetime as a customer.    

In this episode, we are going to discuss what have been the most notorious changes in sales over the years and what are the questions businesses should be asking themselves nowadays.  

The world has changed a lot in the last few years and the world of sales has moved with it, in some respects for the better but there are still challenges to be faced and problems to be solved.  

Even though things have changed a lot, there are some methods or approaches that are still very old-fashioned, very testosterone-fueled. Methods that, today, can create more problems than solutions.  

The surprising thing is many people still defend and teach those methods. For instance, campaigns that say “we crush the competition” and all that kind of stuff may be fine and all, but that's not the real world, those are old industrial age models.    

As Marcus says, “Competition means you carry very sharp knives. Coexistence really means you have very sharp elbows.”  

Marcus knows that there are different ways of doing things, and he has proven time and time again that people can build triple-win ecosystems where the customer wins, the partners win, and you win.
